Generosity is one of several indicators of a disciple that is growing in their walk with Christ. Although not every disciple gives the same amount, they all should be faithful in giving. One way to determine if your congregation is growing in generosity is to analyze contributions using giving levels. Giving Levels groups contributors into one of six levels based on total annual giving. A year over year comparison is made that reveals what percentage of your contributors are increasing or decreasing their giving. The study will also reveal the number of new or lost contributors along with the amounts. Our data indicates that for most churches, the bulk of their giving dollars comes from a small percentage of their contributors. The actual amounts could indicate fiscal health and that is a number every pastor should know.
